AIIM the Global Enterprise Content Management Association

AIIM is the community that provides education, research, and best practices to help organisations find, control, and optimize their information.

For over 60 years, AIIM has been the leading non-profit organization focused on helping users to understand the challenges associated with managing documents, content, records, and business processes. AIIM was founded in the US in 1943 as the National Microfilm Association and later became the Association for Information and Image Management. AIIM is also known as the enterprise content management (ECM) association.

Today, AIIM is international in scope, independent, and implementation-focused. As the industry's intermediary, AIIM represents the entire industry - including users, suppliers, and the channel. AIIM's European base has been established for over 10 years, providing education classes throughout Europe and hosting the AIIM Roadshow, the UK's premiere document and content management event.

As a neutral and unbiased source of information, AIIM serves the needs of its members and the industry through the following activities.

AIIM Speakers:

Doug Miles, Managing Director, AIIM Europe

Doug Miles has been with AIIM since January 2005, taking over in March 2006 as UK Managing Director. For over 25 years he has worked with users and vendors across a broad spectrum of IT applications. An early pioneer of document management systems, Doug has been involved in their evolution from technical solution to enterprise infrastructure platform. Most recently, Doug has produced a number of the AIIM survey reports on user issues and drivers for ECM, Email Management, Records Management and Enterprise 2.0. Doug has also worked closely with other enterprise-level IT systems such as ERP, CRM and BI. Doug has an MSc in Communications Engineering and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Doug is a regular contributor to various information management and vertical industry publications and is a clear, enthusiastic and experienced presenter.

 

Chris Fenton, Sales and Accounts Manager, AIIM Europe

Chris, a graduate from Loughborough University, has been with AIIM since November 2005. His role now includes managing the relationship between AIIM and the leading content management vendors, consultants and service providers in the industry. Chris is also responsible for delivering AIIM’s European B2B Marketing Services to the vendor community, combining these activities with AIIM’s mission; to educate its 60,000+ end user community on ECM.

Chris is a young but dedicated speaker who will deliver the facts and figures in an uncomplicated presention style.
